frontview frontview The Mega Comete is specially designed by Side Bike for Yamaha's GTS 1000. The sidecar wheel is steering and there are two brakes on that wheel. The trunk capaticity is 330 liter. The original left front swingarm is replaced by a right one and connected to the sidecarwheel. It's still hub steering.
The shockabsorber is moved backwards between the bike and sidecar, see also the pics in part 2.
Front tire
The front tire is now a GoodYear Eagle Ventura 165/60 14 inch. All tires are filled up with nitrogen instead of air. The nitrogen will keep the tires better on pressure then air will do.
Viewpoint from a bird
The GTS is build as close as possible to the bike.
Rear tire
Rear tire Toyo 195/45 14 inch, great look, better in the rain than the originally mounted Dunlop SP Sport 2000 185/50 R14. It will last about 12,000 km (7500 miles).
The same Toyo is used on the sidecar wheel

Front end, special made for sidecar riding.
